Rabbit Hole Pendants 2/2018

I can't believe that I've been making pendants for Damon's Nomadic Rabbit Hole parties for over a year! This February he is hosting a love themed event just after Valentine's Day, and I will actually be hand-delivering 50 pendants to the party in NYC.  This time Damon requested a rabbit illustration that was dark and sinister, and I was thrilled to come up with this original illustration.

Fabric Shopping for October

I've been struggling with this fabric order for DAYS because there are just too many cute fabrics and not enough monies in my bank account.... But this morning I finally decided to cut a print because I didn't LOVE it, and impulse-add a second print from my "buy later" list. Then the subtotal magically came to $222, and all of the fabrics looked perfect in the cart together. So I hit "checkout" immediately. Not sure what's so amazing about those 3 2's all next to each other, but it worked.....

Writing two STEAM project courses for TechShop

In the craziness of the week, I totally forgot how excited I am for my 7 hour laser appointment, where I'm writing two new STEAM courses for TechShop!!! I was given permission by the Education Department to use the laser for an extended appointment so that I can build and document two projects for the STEAM summer camp.  I love building light boxes so it was great to see that was a topic requested by the summer camp.  The other project is a scale model.  Both of these projects teach design skills and laser cutting.  So I'll be at TechShop working on my favorite things :)  Find me at Universal #3, or at a workbench glueing my lightbox together.  It's going to be a fun day of making!
